Los Campesino! - “By Your Hand”
From their new album Hello Sadness, which I’ve been enjoying lately.

Turns out I really like the Grateful Dead. Go figure.
Testa Rose - “Arms of a Tree”
Nice band from Milwaukee. I’m driving up there on Saturday to see Crooked Fingers and Strand of Oaks on Saturday, and I’m definitely looking forward to seeing these guys for the first time.
Dr. Dog - “Shadow People”
Tonight! Dr. Dog yumminess (also at the Firebird). This video makes me want to go roller skating. Not in those clothes though.
Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin - “Back in the Saddle”
The Springfield boys put on a great show last night at the Firebird. I’ve probably posted this video before, but whatever. It’s an amazing song so I’m sure you don’t mind.
I’m going to make an occasional habit (about once a month) of posting 10-song playlists on Spotify. Here’s numero uno. Enjoy!
Pretty excited about this. This cover of “Strangers” is chilling.
Wye Oak to Release Kinks, Danzig Covers
Lissie’s viral live covers have at last yielded an official release, and now Wye Oak will put their formerly online-only versions of “Strangers” and “Mother” to wax this fall: Merge Records announced this week that Jenn Wasner and Andy Stack’s live takes on the aforementioned classic Kinks and Danzig tunes for AV Undercover will arrive on 7” vinyl next month. Pre-orders for the limited run — due out on November 22nd — can be made here, but in the meantime, video of their excellent Jonathan Meiburg-assisted “Strangers” cut is above.
